Our Client represents the Belgian trade and services sector, with members active in 20 industries, selling both to businesses and directly to consumers.

Job Description

As a Social Affairs Advisor, you will represent members in joint committees for trade and services, advising them on labor law, collective agreements, and social relations. You will keep members informed of the latest developments, provide personalized guidance, and contribute to the execution of the annual action plan, including organizing webinars and updating online tools. Additionally, you will expand your expertise in the trade sector, specialize in social policy matters, and maintain regular external contacts, particularly with HR professionals in the industry.

The Successful Applicant

  • You hold a Master's degree in law, preferably with a LLM in social law.
  • You have over five years of experience as a lawyer/legal counsel, for example, in a law firm, company, or social secretariat.
  • You possess strong knowledge of labor and social law.
  • You are highly proficient in both Dutch and French, with an active command of English.
  • You enjoy working in a team, are dynamic, easily build relationships, and find managing diverse cases challenging.
  • You excel in negotiation and conciliation.
  • Customer focus is important to you, and you aim to add value in your area of expertise.
