Our client, part of an international group, is a leading food distribution company serving the hospitality and catering sectors. With six distribution centers across Belgium, they prioritize sustainability, innovation, and employee well-being.

To strengthen their team, they are looking for a National Technical Manager.

Job Description

  • Oversee and subcontract preventive maintenance for refrigeration, HVAC, air/water treatment, compressed air, and electrical systems.
  • Manage technical stock and provide cost-saving design advice.
  • Define requirements for new and modified installations.
  • Supervise and verify subcontracted maintenance work.
  • Collaborate with site managers on maintenance planning and priorities.
  • Train teams on system usage and updates.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues or coordinate manufacturer interventions.
  • Advise management on technical investments and ensure proper execution.
  • Standardize technical installations and introduce new technologies.

The Successful Applicant

  • minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, particularly in HVAC and refrigeration.
  • Hands-on, problem-solving, and innovation-driven approach.
  • Ability to define and implement technical solutions efficiently.
  • Autonomous and proactive in acquiring expertise.
  • Fluent in French or Dutch, with at least B2 proficiency in the other; English is a plus.
  • Category B driving license required for site visits.
  • Team management experience is an asset.
